Blue hour just after sunset is the strongest window, when office and tower lights come on against a still-blue sky, before full darkness flattens the scene into pure black and yellow. Clear, low-humidity evenings in autumn and winter give the sharpest distant views of the Taunus, since summer haze often softens the skyline outline. The deck can fill with visitors around sunset, particularly on weekends, so photographers should expect to share railing space and rotate positions rather than plant a tripod for an extended session. Tripods are generally allowed but subject to staff discretion during busy periods; drones are not permitted over the city center.
