Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats) is the medieval market square at the heart of Tallinn's Old Town in Estonia, and one of the most photographed public spaces in the Baltics. The frame is built around the Gothic Town Hall with its slender spire and the weathervane Old Thomas, flanked by pastel merchants' houses with stepped gables and the old Town Hall Pharmacy on the north side.

Cobbled paving makes a strong foreground, and cafe terraces add colour and life in summer. The square is open and fairly flat, so light reaches it for much of the day, but the best conditions are early morning, when low sun rakes across the facades and the cobbles are empty before about 07:30, and blue hour, when the lit windows glow against a deep sky. From May to September terraces fill the edges, while in the Christmas Market season from late November to early January a large tree and wooden stalls transform the scene; arriving before 09:00 helps photograph the tree without crowds, as the square becomes dense from mid-morning with tour groups and stall visitors. Overcast and wet weather suit the cobbles, which reflect lamps after rain. Elevated angles are available from the first-floor windows and terraces of surrounding cafes. A small tripod or monopod is practical in the quiet hours, but at busy times it blocks pedestrians and may draw complaints from stall holders. Access is free as the square is public. Drone use above the Old Town is restricted by controlled airspace and crowd rules, so flying is not advisable. Public restrooms and water are available in nearby cafes and the Town Hall area.
