Tallink City Hotel

Tallink City Hotel is a four-star Tallink group hotel at A. Laikmaa 5 (Ants Laikmaa Street) in central Tallinn, Estonia, a short walk from Freedom Square and the Old Town. The street lies in the compact city centre between the Old Town and the Viru Square area, so the medieval gates, the Viru Keskus shopping centre and the Rotermann Quarter are all within a few minutes on foot. Tram and bus stops nearby connect the hotel with Tallinn Airport and the ferry port, and the Estonian Academy of Arts and several theatres are in the surrounding blocks. The hotel's character is that of a modern, mid-range business and leisure property run by the company whose ferries link Tallinn with Helsinki and Stockholm, so many guests combine a ferry crossing with a city stay. Rooms are offered as Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms and Family Rooms, and rates run roughly €70-150 per night depending on season and demand. Amenities listed include a restaurant, a bar, wifi and a fitness centre. Breakfast is normally a buffet served in the hotel restaurant, which also offers lunch and dinner for guests who prefer to eat in. The hotel does not list a pool or spa, so wellness seekers usually choose the Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel at the harbour instead. Service is efficient, with a reception able to help with taxis, sightseeing and ferry-related questions, and Family Rooms make the hotel suitable for groups travelling with children. Rooms differ in outlook, and higher floors are generally quieter than those facing busier streets. For visitors who want a reliable, moderately priced four-star hotel within walking distance of both the Old Town and the modern centre of Estonia's capital, the location is practical and flat, with straightforward access to most major sights.
