The Nile Felucca Iftar or Dinner Cruise offers a two-hour private dining experience aboard a traditional Egyptian felucca — a hand-sailed wooden boat that has served as the primary river craft on the Nile for thousands of years. The boat is decorated with lanterns and colorful fabrics, creating an intimate setting for a meal on the water as Cairo's skyline transitions from golden sunset to illuminated evening. The menu follows a traditional Egyptian dinner format. A spread of cold mezze arrives first: creamy hummus, baba ghanoush, Egyptian salata baladi of tomato, cucumber, and parsley, and warm pita bread. The main course consists of grilled kofta (spiced minced-meat skewers) and grilled chicken thighs marinated in garlic and cumin, served with saffron rice and roasted vegetables.
