Fairmont Nile City occupies the upper floors of the South Tower in the Nile City Towers complex, a pair of landmark commercial and residential skyscrapers on the Corniche El Nil in Bulaq, immediately north of Downtown Cairo. The hotel's position in one of the tallest structures on Cairo's riverfront delivers exceptional elevation and unobstructed Nile views across a wide arc. The Bulaq district was historically Cairo's main Nile port and has undergone significant development since 2000; the hotel is within a 5-minute drive of central Downtown and the Egyptian Museum.

Nile City Towers were completed in 2005 to a design by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, giving the complex an internationally recognised architectural pedigree. The Fairmont occupies floors 18 to 36 of the South Tower, with a lobby entered via a dedicated podium level that separates hotel guests from the office and retail functions below. Interior design is contemporary and airy — oversized windows frame the Nile, marble and warm wood finishes run through public spaces, and a palette of muted creams and blues dominates guest rooms. Rooms are spacious by Cairo standards, with king or twin configurations, pillowtop mattresses, and separate bath and shower arrangements.

The all-day dining restaurant, The Nile, serves international and Egyptian cuisine across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Maki offers a focused Japanese menu popular with Cairo's sushi-going crowd. Bella Ciao covers Italian dining, and the rooftop lounge bar is the hotel's social anchor — offering cocktails and light plates with arguably the best elevated Nile views of any hotel bar in the city.

Willow Stream Spa operates seven treatment rooms with a menu spanning deep-tissue massage, hot stone rituals, and Middle Eastern hammam treatments. An outdoor pool is situated at podium level. The hotel connects internally to a section of upscale retail within the Nile City complex.

A significant portion of the clientele is corporate; Fairmont Nile City hosts many of Cairo's larger private-sector conferences and diplomatic dinners. The concierge team specialises in coordinating off-site logistics and private transportation.
