Slapy Resort & Camping

Slapy Resort sits on the eastern bank of the Slapy Reservoir, the largest recreational water body in Central Bohemia, approximately 40 kilometres south of Prague. The reservoir was formed by damming the Vltava River in the 1950s and stretches roughly 44 kilometres through forested hillsides — a popular summer destination for Praguers seeking swimming, boating, and outdoor activities within easy driving distance of the capital.

The resort occupies a gently sloping site that descends directly to a private beach with designated swimming zones in the reservoir. Accommodation spans three main types: standard camping pitches with electrical hook-ups for caravans and tents, wooden bungalows sleeping 2–6 guests with basic but practical furnishing and bed linens provided, and glamping tents equipped with furniture for guests who prefer a softer outdoor experience. Bungalows retain a classic Czech holiday-cabin character; they are functional rather than luxurious but well-maintained for the price category.

The on-site restaurant operates through the season and serves grilled meats, Czech pub staples, and light snacks. Boat rentals are available at the waterfront, including paddle boats and small motorboats. Wi-Fi is available in communal areas though coverage varies across the wider site. The resort operates seasonally, typically from early May to the end of September. Weekends in July and August are extremely busy and advance booking for bungalows and glamping units is essential weeks ahead. Families, young groups, and water-sports enthusiasts make up the majority of guests.
