Transportation details
Full breakdown of how to get around.
Limassol has no airport of its own. Larnaca International Airport (LCA) is about 65 km and 45 minutes away by road and is the main gateway; Paphos International Airport (PFO) is about 65 km west. Airport shuttle coaches, intercity buses and taxis connect both airports to the city. Urban buses run by EMEL cover the seafront, Old Town and suburbs. A rental car helps for Kourion, the Troodos villages and the wine route.

Transport tips
Travel smarter, not harder.
Check bus times in the EMEL app and the Cyprus by Bus app; Sunday and evening service is reduced.
Buy single tickets from the driver in cash; carry small coins.
Bolt works in Limassol; Uber does not.
Never accept an unmetered night-time taxi quote at Larnaca airport without agreeing the total in euros first.
Fuel up before driving into the Troodos.
