September-November is Colombia's wettest period in most regions. Trails can be muddy and views obscured. Fewer hikers, lower prices, lush landscapes.

December-March is the main dry season — best overall for hiking across Colombia. Tayrona at its best, Cocora Valley clearest, Andes trails most accessible.
