Day trip from Antioquia, Antioquia
Santa Fe de Antioquia and Puente de Occidente
Colombia's best-preserved colonial town sits just 79 km northwest of Medellín in a warm valley 1,000 metres lower in altitude. Santa Fe's whitewashed streets, baroque churches, and vibrant main plaza are a window into 16th-century Spanish colonial Antioquia. The nearby Puente de Occidente — a remarkable 1895 suspension bridge — spans the Cauca River canyon.
