Hôtel de l'ITHQ

Hôtel de l'ITHQ is a 42-room teaching hotel run by the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec at 3535 Rue Saint-Denis, facing Carré Saint-Louis in the Plateau-Mont-Royal district of Montreal, Quebec. The hotel sits above Sherbrooke metro station, so it offers direct access to downtown and Old Montreal, while the Latin Quarter, Rue Saint-Denis and the Plateau's restaurants and cafés are on the doorstep. Carré Saint-Louis is a landmark square lined with colourful Victorian row houses, and Parc La Fontaine and Mount Royal Park are within walking distance. The hotel is part of the institute that trains Quebec's hospitality professionals, so service is delivered within a real-world learning environment, and the on-site restaurant is a notable draw for diners. Rooms are offered as classique rooms, prestige rooms, junior suites and executive suites, and typical rates are around CAD 220 per night, depending on season. Listed amenities include wifi, a restaurant, breakfast, a fitness centre and parking. The restaurant is staffed in part by students, giving visitors an opportunity to sample refined Quebec cuisine in a training setting, while breakfast is available on site for hotel guests. Service character is polished and educational, appealing to visitors interested in food and hospitality, business travellers and couples seeking a calm base in a lively district. The building is a modern institutional structure rather than a heritage hotel, with comfortable rooms and a quiet atmosphere compared with downtown towers. Parking is available, which is helpful because street parking on the Plateau is limited. The surrounding neighbourhood is among Montreal's most characterful, with independent shops, bakeries and bars within a few blocks. For visitors exploring Montreal, Canada, the hotel offers a distinctive and well-connected stay in the Plateau.
