All-suite hotel between Old Montreal and the Palais des congrès, with cooked-to-order breakfast included.
Embassy Suites by Hilton Montréal is an all-suite hotel at 208 Rue Saint-Antoine Ouest, on the border between Old Montreal and the Palais des congrès district. The Place-d'Armes metro station is a short walk away, and the Notre-Dame Basilica, the Old Port and the financial district are all within about ten minutes on foot. The position is convenient for visitors who want Old Montreal's historic streets without paying boutique-inn prices.
Every room is a suite, offered as one-bedroom king suites and one-bedroom two-queen suites, which gives families and small groups a separate living area. Typical rates are around CAD 280 per night. A defining feature is the cooked-to-order breakfast included in the rate, a practical saving in a city with high breakfast prices. The hotel also has a restaurant and a bar, a fitness centre, wifi and parking.
The building is a modern midrange hotel rather than a heritage structure, so character comes from the surrounding neighbourhood. Rue Saint-Antoine is part of the business district, and the adjoining Rue Saint-Jacques holds the former banking halls that form the historic financial quarter. Chinatown and the Quartier des Spectacles are also within walking distance.
Service is geared to families, business travellers and those staying several nights, since the suite layout and breakfast reduce costs. The hotel is also suited to conference attendees at the Palais des congrès. Evenings near the hotel are quieter than in Old Montreal proper, so visitors seeking nightlife usually walk a few minutes toward Rue Saint-Paul or Rue McGill. Winter guests can reach the Underground City nearby, and summer guests find the Old Port within easy walking distance for festivals and fireworks.
