Seasonal Breakdown

Detailed information for each season.

🌸 Spring

Mar-May

Pre-monsoon hot season with temperatures climbing sharply. Mango season begins in May and the landscape turns dry and dusty. Nor'westers (kalbaishakhi) — dramatic evening thunderstorms — occur frequently in April and May.

Tips: Bring lightweight clothes, high-SPF sunscreen, and stay hydrated. April-May heat can be extreme — schedule outdoor activities before 11 AM

☀️ Summer

Jun-Sep

Monsoon season with heavy daily rainfall, high humidity, and warm temperatures around 30°C. Rivers flood extensively across the delta. St. Martin's Island boat services stop. Ratargul Swamp Forest at its most spectacular when fully submerged.

Tips: Waterproof clothing and rain gear essential. Flooding can disrupt rural roads — check conditions before travelling to Chittagong Hill Tracts or river delta areas

🍂 Fall

Oct-Nov

Post-monsoon transition — rains ease, temperatures moderate, and the landscape is lush green from the monsoon. Waterfalls at peak flow in Bandarban. October is excellent for Chittagong Hill Tracts trekking as trails are clear and vegetation is vivid.

Tips: October-November is arguably the best month to visit — good weather, green landscape, fewer tourists, and waterfalls at peak

❄️ Winter

Dec-Feb

Bangladesh's best and most popular season with cool, dry weather and clear skies. Temperatures in Dhaka average 15-22°C. The north can see temperatures drop to 8-10°C. St. Martin's Island accessible. Sundarbans ideal season.

Tips: Bring a light jacket for evenings and mornings in December-January. Book accommodation well ahead for Cox's Bazar and popular sites as this is peak season
