The Bahrain Bay Waterfront Promenade Loop is an urban seafront walk in the Diplomatic Area of Manama, Bahrain, built around the reclaimed Bahrain Bay development. The route is a mapped loop of about 3.5 km, the figure published for the Bahrain Bay jogging track, and takes roughly 45 to 60 minutes at walking pace. There is no permit, no entry fee and no formal trailhead; most visitors start at The Avenues Bahrain or near the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, where taxis and ride-hailing cars drop off and a car park is available. Public buses of the Bahrain Public Transport Company also serve the Diplomatic Area, with a cash fare of about BHD 0.30. The terrain is completely flat at sea level, with no elevation gain and no technical difficulty, so the walk suits first-time and casual walkers. The surface is paved promenade, tiled walkway and landscaped paths, with some sections open to the sun and others shaded by buildings, palms and canopy structures. Along the way the loop passes the sheltered lagoon-style bay, the glass towers of the Diplomatic Area, the Four Seasons Hotel, and sightlines across the water to the Bahrain Financial Harbour and Bahrain World Trade Center skyline. Benches and cafes in The Avenues area provide natural turn-around points and rest stops, and the loop can be shortened to a simple out-and-back along the water. Water, cold drinks and shade are available at the cafes and shops of The Avenues, so carrying a small bottle is enough in cooler months. In summer, from June to September, midday temperatures and humidity in Bahrain are severe, and the walk is only comfortable shortly after sunrise or after dark. Exposure to weather is the only real hazard; there are no cliffs, loose surfaces or wildlife concerns. Because the promenade is also used by joggers and cyclists, walkers should keep to the pedestrian side and watch for fast traffic on shared sections. The loop combines well with a meal at the adjoining waterfront restaurants and can be extended west along the corniche towards the Bahrain Financial Harbour.
