Aviatrans Hotel

Aviatrans Hotel is located at 4 Abovyan Street in the Kentron district of Yerevan, Armenia. Abovyan Street is one of the oldest and most characterful streets in the capital, named after the nineteenth-century writer Khachatur Abovyan, and the hotel's position puts Republic Square, the Cascade Complex, the Opera and numerous museums within a comfortable walk. Cafes, bookshops and small restaurants line the street, and taxis can be found easily. Zvartnots International Airport is about 12 kilometres from the property. The hotel holds a three-star rating and offers a plain, practical style aimed at travellers who want a clean base in the city centre without paying for extensive extras. It has attracted a large number of guest reviews, with a KAYAK score of 8.2 out of 10 from almost 2,000 reviews, which indicates a steady flow of independent visitors, small groups and business travellers. Rooms are listed as double rooms and twin rooms, with wifi and air conditioning in each. Suites are not listed, so families may prefer to book connecting or adjoining rooms by request. Breakfast is the principal meal most guests take at the hotel, and the immediate neighbourhood offers a wide choice of Armenian restaurants, bakeries serving fresh lavash and wine bars for lunch and dinner. No spa, pool or fitness centre is listed. The service character is straightforward and helpful, with staff who can help arrange airport transfers, city tours and excursions to Garni, Geghard, Khor Virap and Lake Sevan. Listed rates run from roughly AMD 22,000 to 47,000 per night, or $60 to $130, which is moderate for such a central location. Guests who value walkability and price over facilities generally find the hotel a sound choice, particularly for short stays of two to four nights. Reservations are advisable in the summer and autumn peak, and requests for quiet rooms are worthwhile because Abovyan Street can be busy in the evenings.
